NEWCOMERS WELCOME!
What can I expect in my first 11 minutes at Jefferson Church of Christ?
Eleven minutes seems like an insignificant amount of time, but at Jefferson, we believe every minute counts. So the most important thing you will notice is the warmth and friendliness of your fellow worshippers. Most folks tell us that they just feel “at home” when they visit with us.
There will be official greeters to welcome you and provide you with a bulletin and any information you may need regarding children’s programming and directions or whatever you might need to know. Most likely there will be many unofficial greeters to make you feel welcome as well.
Important information will usually be projected on the screen above the center of the stage between services for your convenience. Help yourself to a cup of coffee in our hospitality area located on the second floor of the Family Life Center. Make yourself at home.
How should I dress?
Please feel free to come as you are. Most people will dress kind of business casual, though we have many who wear jeans as well as those who dress in coat and tie. There is no dress code. Modesty is always a consideration.
Will I be recognized as a visitor?
No. We have all visited other churches and understand the needs of those who wish to stay out of the spotlight as visitors. You will likely be asked, in a general way, to fill out a visitor card, titled “We're Glad You’re Here,” and drop it in the offering plate as it passes by, but it is entirely up to you.

In 1877 a group of about 50 people with a vision for planting a new church met together under the big oak tree across the street from our present campus. Out of that original group, Jefferson Church of Christ was established.Through the years, the church has seen many changes and has grown as God continues to be at work. This church community is committed to serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and taking His message of salvation to the world – here in our community through church planting and outreach events and throughout the rest of the world by sending and supporting missionaries. We continue to follow Christ as He leads with a great vision for the future.
